This is my mother-in-law's apartment...Marcella's mother!
Use black zip ties and make all bulbs stand straight up. Hot glue them standing up around the top of the brick then zip tie rest over the top of the gate. Then hot glue power cord down in the crack of the concrete so there is no tripping hazard.
Cut off the excess of the black tie so they are not sticking up. Be sure to pick up the part you cut off and take with you. She is 91 and gets huge enjoyment from these little lights we do for her every year. There is no need to talk to her. She is practically deaf unless you yell. This won't take you but 20 minutes give or take. No ladders required. You will want to park around the back. Her patio overlooks Berlinder St. which is on the east side of the building. She has a few chairs and a Christmas Tree on the patio. And she has a wreath on her door. You will just walk down the east side of the building from the back. Let me know if you have trouble finding the right patio! Thanks!
